At Pieces of Heaven, we believe that a kitchen should be both beautiful and functional. One of our recent projects involved transforming an outdated kitchen into a fresh, modern space while preserving the warmth and character of the home.
The project began with the removal of a microwave that sat on a drop down shelf, which occupied valuable workspace and disrupted the flow of the kitchen. We modified the existing cabinet frames to accommodate a new microwave installed above the range, creating a cleaner and more efficient layout.
To achieve a seamless appearance, we rebuilt and extended the upper cabinet framing so it aligned perfectly with the surrounding cabinetry. The peninsula was also enhanced with custom trim details along the back and sides, giving it the appearance of custom built furniture rather than standard cabinetry.
To complete the transformation, we installed new shaker style cabinet doors and drawer fronts along with soft close hinges for improved functionality and durability. Updated hardware added the finishing touch, bringing the entire kitchen together with a fresh and sophisticated look.
The result is a kitchen that feels brighter, more organized, and perfectly suited for modern living while maintaining a timeless design that will remain beautiful for years to come.
