Every kitchen has the potential to become something special with thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship. In this project, our goal was to give an older kitchen a classic update while preserving its original charm.
The first step was removing an outdated microwave shelf and modifying the upper cabinet framing to match the length and proportions of the surrounding cabinets. This immediately created a more balanced and cohesive appearance throughout the kitchen.
Next, we removed the existing vent and the cabinet structures above the range. Instead of replacing them with standard cabinetry, our carpenter designed and built a custom vent hood that became the focal point of the space. The ventilation system was carefully enclosed within the hood, allowing for both functionality and beauty.
To ensure the new design blended perfectly with the rest of the kitchen, we ordered custom doors that matched the existing cabinetry. Every detail was considered so the finished project would look intentional and professionally crafted.
The completed kitchen now features a timeless custom vent hood that adds character, elegance, and visual interest. What was once an ordinary cooking area has become a beautiful centerpiece that brings new life to this classic home.
